Review:

A big mansion, a stormy night, a scared child... Everything starts like in every good horror movie. Flashforward 30 years, a wedding pictured with bright colors, a vast estate. A wedding that even though looks like a fairytale will soon become an evil tale, from the wedding night. Because at the Domas' - wealthy people who acquired their fortune thanks to board games - and their odd traditions, we play games on one's wedding night.

The young bride will have to live a very special wedding night that will turn into a man chase or rather a bride chase featuring traditional deadly weapons. From this point, the movie will get darker and takes place almost entirely during this nightmare night.

More than an average horror movie, "Wedding Nightmare" also plays on the horror comedy note because we actually laugh and quite a lot. First thanks to the characters and several of them are funny: aunt Helene (Nicky Guadagni) who looks like an old witch, Emilie (Melanie Scrofano), the drug-addict sister of the groom and her funny husband Flitch (Kristian Bruun) who learns how to chase using tutorials... Without forgetting, the funniest moment although it's very bloody.

Wedding Nightmare scriptwriters and makers have created a movie multiplying the references to other movies of the same genre or not. Indeed, characters look a bit to the ones you have in "The Addams Family" or Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride". This woman chase also reminds us of Japanese movie "Battle Royale" where it should be only one surviver. And the blood-covered bride can only make us think about Uma Thurman in "Kill Bill".

An original movie because of its script, and funny to have a good time before going back to work.
