This house is a family business running since 1953, when Maurice Bernachon wanted to start creating exceptional chocolates, by roasting cocoa beans himself. Now, the 3rd generation of Bernachon intends to continue the heritage left by Maurice and his son Jean-Jacques, but without avoiding eaters’ new demands!
No problem! With 70 years of experience down the belt, Maurice Bernachon’s grandchildren have decided to shine a light on the Président, a delicious chocolate cake with hazelnut praline ganache, candied white cherries topping an almond cake and topped with chocolate lace, that made the fame of the house. If you have tasted this creation already, you know how regressive it tastes.
Although in Lyon, the Président yule log will be available in sizes serving 4, 6 or 8 foodies, in Paris, there will be the 4-serving yule log only for €38. Another privilege for people in Lyon? The other chocolate yule log, the Bûche Mendiant with very regressive Piedmont hazelnut mousse, Piedmont cake, the whole coated in bitter 62% dark chocolate crémeux with chopped hazelnuts, topping a cake filled with chopped pecans. It melts in the mouth; it is crunchy and we love it!
And like many chocolate-makers, Bernachon thinks about the after-dinner with a Christmas bulb to place at the center of your table and open for a tea or coffee. Inside, mendiants to enjoy with your family or friends.
