For the 38th edition of European Heritage Days, the Lithuanian Embassy opens on Sunday September 19, 2021 for the second year in a row. In the 19th century, this private mansion set at 22 boulevard de Courcelles, was the first Parisian home of composer Ernest Chausson, his wife and their three children.
The hotel is then decorated by painters Maurice Denis and Odilon Redon. In his office, also stand a huge portrait of the Chausson family, painted by his friend Eugène Carrière. As for the building, it became an embassy in 1999.
