Since the brutal stop of the Le Bruit de Melun festival in 2008, Muzik’elles in Meaux in 2015 and Montereau Confluences stopped before even hosting the edition 2018, the Seine-et-Marne region seriously lacked music festivals.
It’s no longer a problem, the Val d’Europe agglomeration launches this year Val de Rock, its new music festival.
The first edition of this new event will be held on June 28, 29 and 30, 2019 in the Parc du Bicheret, Chessy.
For its first edition, Val de Rock hits hard: about twenty artists are already announced and among them, some nice name.
As for the lineup, Shaka Ponk, -M- (Matthieu Chedid), UB40, Jimmy Somerville, Hubert Félix Thiéfaine, Les Négresses Vertes, Axel Bauer, Minuit, Radio Elvis, De La Soul, Al McKay's Earth Wind & Fire Experience have already confirmed.
Val de Rock will also feature three stages, arcade rooms and a rest area as well as food trucks in order to welcome the 30,000 daily festivalgoers.
The 1-day pass costs €45, the 2-day pass €75 and the 3-day pass €105. Prices exclude renting fees.
But there are also early birds rate and reduced rate for Val d’Europe inhabitants and children from 10 to 15 years old. The admission is free for children under 10.
Bookings are now open on the festival website.
A rest area and a camping site with many activities are planned. Allow €10 per night.
There will be a parking lot as well.
The venue is accessible with public transportation. Free shuttles will take festivalgoers from the RER A Val d’Europe to the parking lot to the festival site.
We don’t know about you, but this new Val de Rock festival is very tempting. Meet in Chessy from June 28 to 30, 2019.
