Every summer, Paris Plages drops anchor in the city, transforming the capital into an urban seaside resort. Since 2002, this free summer event has been making waves, and for its 24th edition, it returns from July 5 to August 31, 2025 with a program that smells of sunscreen and seaside vacations!
This year, we're doubling the dose of freshness with six spots to take to the water ! Not only are the unmissable Parc Rives de Seine, Bassin de la Villette and Canal Saint-Martin back, but so are three new swimming spots: Bras Marie (Paris Centre), Bras de Grenelle (15th) and Quai de Bercy (12th).
What's on the program? Lifeguarded swimming, water sports, workshops for little sailors, board games, books to read with your toes outstretched, strolling exhibitions, and a sea offree events.
But this 2025 edition takes on a tropical carnival air! In honor of the France-Brazil Season and 200 years of diplomatic relations, Paris Plages goes "Copacabana on the Seine". On the horizon? Open-air Brazilian cinema, lively concerts, tastings with southern flavors, dancing blocos, DJ sets and participatory workshops galore.
There are also exhibitions by photographers Joao Farkas and Luis Braga, highlighting the richness of the Brazilian art scene. And to kick off the season? The traditional Bal Arrangé, on Saturday July 5, revisited in the colors of Brazil.
Beach, sun, samba ... Paris has never been so caliente!
