The town hall, informed shortly after, confirms the news. No bursts of color in Nemours’ sky this year, but the National Day isn’t wiped from the calendar altogether.

The decision does not spare the town nestled along the Loing, at the gates of the Fontainebleau forest, a massif rightly classified as a sensitive zone. For days now, Île-de-France has been enduring a third heat wave and a marked drought, a lethal cocktail that pushes up the risk of fires starting. The fireworks, which until now had benefited from a discretionary permit, are therefore suspended until July 15, 2026 across the entire department.
