WARNING: due to red heatwave vigilance and a related prefectural decree, the town of Meaux has announced the cancellation of its fireworks display on July 13, 2026. However, the scheduled festivities will go on. As a precaution, the city has also decided to cancel the parade of the uniformed services.
The town of Meaux is looking forward to celebrating the Fête nationale in style! This year, the Seine-et-Marne municipality is offering a wide range of events to bring everyone together for this popular celebration.
Meaux is the department's most densely populated town, and is home to numerous points of interest that tell the story of the town's rich history. From Gallo-Roman ramparts to 13th-century relics, not to mention the many churches, town houses and other sights, there's plenty to keep you enthralled!
But what matters to us this July are the festivities planned for the 14 July celebrations. To mark the storming of the Bastille, the municipality invites its residents on Monday, July 13, 2026 to attend a public dance with a paid entry this year as well as a spectacular firework display at the Jardin des Trinitaires at 11 p.m.!
Firefighters’ Ball starts at 7 p.m. at the Fire and Rescue Centre — tickets €5
