The 13th and 14th of July, the National Day draws crowds year after year to a wide range of celebrations held all across France. Community dances, republican ceremonies, concerts and fireworks set the rhythm for this summer milestone, which commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789 and the Festival of the Federation in 1790.
All over France, fireworks light up the sky as night falls, while dancers take to the stage at popular balls and fire department balls. During the day, military parades, Republican picnics and much more await young and old alike.
In Paris, highlights include the fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower, and the military parade that traditionally takes place on theChamps-Elysées avenue. As for the rest of the Île-de-France region, the festivities are also expected in large numbers!
The majority of Île-de-France communes stage their festivities between the July 13–14, giving some the chance to find a program close to home and others the opportunity to go on a quest to discover the region’s heritage.
In Seine-et-Marne (77), the town of Champagne-sur-Seine, situated along the river, welcomes you with open arms on July 13, 2026 at the Stade Paul Hébras. An opportunity to discover this charming town from the old town center, its banks, its churches, or the former Schneider factory.
The city invites you to join us on Monday, July 13 at Paul Hébras Stadium for a festive evening to share with family or friends.
We’re looking forward to seeing many of you as we celebrate Bastille Day together in a welcoming, festive atmosphere!
