In Paris and the Île-de-France region, we love to slide into the Christmas spirit: enchanted markets, lights on every street corner, andice rinks that make your eyes sparkle. This year, Mantes-la-Jolie, in the Yvelines (78), is rolling out its finest rink with a 300 m² outdoor ice rink, installed on the Val Fourré slab, free and open to all.
From December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026, everyone can lace up their skates every day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with adjusted hours on December 24 and 31 (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.), and a well-deserved break on December 25 and January 1, when the ice rink will be closed.
And before you even feel the cool wind on your cheeks, the city sets the tone with the grand Christmas parade, which kicks off the festivities on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Just a stone's throw away, on Place Saint-Maclou, the Christmas market will delight foodies and gift hunters alike, while Santa's house will be the place to be for a souvenir selfie to keep you warm. Not to mention the toboggan run, for a change of pace!
Come on, let's put on our gloves, adjust our scarves... and let ourselves be carried away by the magic of the holidays in Mantes-la-Jolie!
