The King Cake is making its winter debut… heading to Cour Vendôme. Until January 18, 2026, Potel et Chabot is hosting a charming pop-up gourmand tucked away in this intimate passage directly connected to Place Vendôme. Open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the renowned luxury caterer transforms the Paris winter into a highly tempting flaky pastry retreat. This space has been thoughtfully designed as a delectable stopover, where craftsmanship is savored by the slice.

Founded in 1822, Potel et Chabot has consistently defined the art of French hospitality. From iconic receptions and extraordinary tables to culinary precision down to the finest detail, this pop-up embodies a clear commitment to making the house accessible to a wider audience, all while maintaining an unwavering attention to detail.

At the heart of the crown, you'll find the Signature King Cake. Its seemingly simple appearance conceals meticulous craftsmanship: a thin, evenly golden puff pastry, and hazelnut frangipane with a pronounced flavor and silky texture. This creation is the work of Marc Rivière, a two-time world pastry champion (2009, 2017), crafted alongside his team. Inside, a ceramic fève stamped with the caterer's emblem hides. The cake can be enjoyed whole for €75, serving 8 people, or by the slice for €8 each, with a generously sized portion.

For a touch of comfort, hot drinks are offered at friendly prices: an espresso for €3, cappuccino for €5, and a decadent Viennese hot chocolate topped with flambéed marshmallows for €8. As an exclusive bonus, the pop-up features a selection of marshmallow and praline bears (€23 for a box of 4) and a bar of Paris’Chocolate (€18). Perfect to enjoy on the go or take away, since the space doesn’t have tables for lingering.
