Raymond Devos House Museum
Through the lens of Raymond Devos. A pop-up photo studio with artist Guillaume Martial.
For European Heritage Days, the Maison-Musée Raymond Devos invites visitors of all ages to join a pop-up photo studio led by photographer Guillaume Martial, whose exhibition Histoire de dormir debout is currently on view in the museum gardens.
In his photographs, Guillaume Martial stages himself in scenes that are as unlikely as they are funny, playing with appearances and illusions. His world resonates with Raymond Devos’s, whose absurd poetry invites us to see the world differently, tipping logic to let imagination, laughter, and wonder in.
Drawing on circus arts, this photo studio invites participants to become, in turn, the subjects of a poetic, humorous, or surprising image.
Throughout the day, this photo cabinet will become a true laboratory of fantasy, where, with Guillaume Martial, we experiment with a new way of telling stories in pictures. An invitation to nurture this offbeat gaze, a legacy of Raymond Devos’s universe.
Conditions of participation: Self-guided museum visit ticket + photo studio: 12 euros - discounted rate | No reservation required
