Public transport in Paris and the Île-de-France region is heavily disrupted from August 3 to 9, 2026, as major summer works hit certain lines particularly hard, according to RATP and SNCF.
This week from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 August 2026 remains especially affected by the big summer works on the public transport network in Paris and Île-de-France. The RATP and the SNCF have launched their heaviest operations of the year during the holidays.
The RER B remains heavily disrupted, and the same goes for Line 13 on its northern branch, leaving a chunk of commuters—particularly those in Saint-Denis—stranded. Remember: Nation station on the RER A is closed this summer, and République station will no longer be served by Line 8 for an extended period. From the metro to the RER, via Transilien, here’s what you need to know.
