From April 1, 2025 - and no, it's not an early April fool's joke - Italian rail company Trenitalia is reopening the famous line between two fashion capitals: Paris and Milan.

Would you like to embark from the French capital and arrive directly in Milan 6.5 to 7 hours later? In any case, that's what Trenitalia is offering from April 1, 2025, with the reopening of its Paris-Milan line. Having made a name for itself with its very first line in France linking Paris to Lyon, and the second (due to open shortly in June 2025) linking Paris to Marseille, the focus is now on Italy!

For its reopening, the company is planning two round trips a day, with departures from Paris at 7.30 a.m. and 3.20 p.m. and from Milan at 6.25 a.m. and 3.53 p.m. Along the way, several stations will also be served: Lyon, Chambéry, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Modane, Oulx and Turin.

Indeed, after 19 months of interruption due to the huge landslides that damaged the railroad tracks in August 2023, traffic was suspended on the section between Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and Oulx, and provided by a replacement bus.

Tickets can already be booked on the company's website or app: from €35 to get to Milan from Paris by train!
