This requires favorable weather conditions, with an"unusually dynamic jet stream over the ocean", as indicated by the Météo-Paris website. A corridor of high-altitude winds linking the United States and Europe, bringing with it the smoke from the Canadian fires that were particularly visible on August 6. This is what tints the sky with a light whitish layer. The smoke from the fire in southern France, meanwhile, is heading for the Mediterranean.
As a result, we're still seeing clear skies, albeit a little paler in color than usual, or more orangey hues at sunrise or sunset. Fortunately, this time the quantities are more moderate and have no impact on air quality in the Paris region.
