Gare aux Docs 2025: a free, committed film festival on the tracks of the REcyclerie

Fancy an open-air film festival on the railroad tracks of Paris's Petite Ceinture? Then head for the REcyclerie, from July 4 to August 30, 2025, to enjoy documentaries on a wide range of subjects.

How about a free film festival on the rails in Paris? If you've never heard of the Gare aux docs event, then it's time to catch up, cinephiles. From July 4 to August 30, 2025, La REcyclerie, an eco-responsible venue located on the railroad tracks of this former station on the Petite Ceinture in Paris, will host the eighth edition of this open-air documentary festival , offering a unique insight into a variety of committed themes.

Presented on the big screen and under the stars as night falls, the festival promises a memorable cinematic experience that observes the fight for living things, thanks to a sensitive and political selection, from independent documentaries to spectacular naturalist productions, as well as field productions documenting current ecological and social struggles through educational or militant means.

Screenings are free and by reservation only, starting at 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Registration for each screening is open the morning before each screening, guaranteeing access to as many people as possible.

  6. AUGUST 8-9: Le nid et l'oiseau by Ewenn Barraud in partnership with Printemps Écologique
  7. AUGUST 15-16: Nature: pour une réconciliation by Yann Arthus Bertrand
  8. AUGUST 22-23: Démocratie(s)? by Henri Poulain in partnership with Action Justice Climat
  9. AUGUST 29-30: It's dark in America by Ana Vaz (part of the France - Brazil 2025 season)
