Since 2010, the Queer Palm has been awarded during the Cannes Film Festival, by an independent jury to a film "dealing with LGBT+ or feminist themes or characters, or challenging gender norms".
Co-chaired by Anna Mouglalis and Thomas Jolly, this year's jury included André Fischer, the director of the MixBrasil Festival of Diversity Culture, as well as musician and actress Jehnny Beth and actress Raya Martigny.
21 feature films, but also short films, across all categories, were this year in the running for the coveted queer prize, among which The Man I Love by Ira Sachs, Garance by Jeanne Herry, Autofiction by Pedro Almodóvar, Roma Elastica by Bertrand Mandico, and Coward by Lukas Dhont.
The top prize at Queer Palm 2026 ultimately went to the feature Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma by Jane Schoenbrun, shown in the Un Certain Regard lineup and warmly embraced by Cannes audiences. But that’s not all!
The jury also awarded a Discovery Prize to the film Du fioul dans les artères by Pierre Le Gall and the Queer Palm 2026 for the short film to the Korean film Silent Voices by Nadine Misong Jin.
