Every year, it's the same story: stars, journalists and film buffs bask in the Cannes sunshine, while the vast majority of moviegoers in Paris wait patiently for the official competition and parallel selections to arrive in cinemas.
This year again, the wait is even tougher as the lineup has divided the on-site industry professionals, with some loving films that others loathed, and vice versa. So it’s up to you to form your own opinion on this official Cannes Film Festival selection for 2026!
Fortunately, a handful of events keep bringing Parisians the mood and discoveries of the Cestival de Cannes to life... Among them, the now-famous Cannes à Paris, which unveils the films from the official selection in a preview. For that, head to the MK2 Bibliothèque from May 22 to 29, 2026!
