It doesn't matter by Josh Mond is part of theAcid 2024 selection to be unveiled during the Cannes 2024 Film Festival, May 15-24. When you're starving, you make the best of what you've got and become a cordon bleu. It Doesn't Matter follows the peregrinations ofAlvaro, a New Yorker from Staten Island, and his filmmaker friend. For seven years, on a journey that takes him across the United States, Alvaro confronts everything that has ever brought him down. All that remains is for him to get back up and try to heal.

WhileAcid showcases intrepid films by emerging (and independent) filmmakers, the American director is far from a rookie in the film world. James White, his first film, was presented at Sundance, the Deauville Film Festival and the Locarno Film Festival, where it won several awards.
