An integral part of the Cannes Film Festival, the Un Certain Regard section showcases singular works, sometimes unexpected, always vibrant with originality. It welcomes promising young directors as well as established filmmakers eager to experiment with new forms.
More than just a parallel competition, Un Certain Regard is a laboratory of talent and ideas, where the voices of tomorrow are born. This year, the committee has selected 20 works to be screened from May 13 to 24. Among them is Anna Cazenave Cambet's feature-lengthadaptation of Constance Debré's Love me Tender.
This is the French director' s second film, following her first feature, De l'or pour les chiens, presented at Critics' Week in 2021. The cast of Love me Tender includes Vicky Krieps, Antoine Reinartz and Monia Chokri.
Love me Tender will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The release date in French cinemas is not yet known.
Synopsis: One late summer, Clémence tells her ex-husband that she's having affairs with women. Her life is turned upside down when he takes custody of her son. Clémence must fight to remain a mother, a woman and a free woman.
