In this new adaptation, Anastasia, a young dancer, joins the prestigious Opéra Garnier. While rehearsing Orpheus, a notoriously cursed opera said to have been composed by the Phantom of the Opera, she falls for a mysterious pianist.

As opening night looms, unexplained accidents and unsettling revelations push the story toward an impossible romance, where reality and the supernatural collide. The film preserves the Paris Opera’s iconic setting while transporting the tale to the present day.

The cast features Deva Cassel as Anastasia, alongside Romain Duris, Julien De Saint-Jean, Laïka Blanc-Francard, Guillaume Diop, Axel Auriant and Dorothée Gilbert. The choreography is by Marion Motin, while the film is produced by SND and FullDawa Films, with French distribution handled by SND.

Adapted from Gaston Leroux’s 1910 classic, The Phantom of the Opera returns to the cinema as a supernatural romantic drama, centered on dance, music, and the mystery at the heart of the Opéra Garnier.
