For ten days, Paris Design Week is pushing design far beyond the showrooms. Studios, galleries, museums and even more unexpected venues become the playgrounds for a creativity that moves from furniture to interior architecture, from decorative arts to artisanal know-how. This edition brings together 500 participants across 320 Paris addresses, aiming to spark encounters between creators, materials and heritage rather than letting objects collect dust on a pedestal. The event returns to the capital from September 10 to 19, 2026.

At the Musée Bourdelle, the dialogue promises to have real depth. For its inaugural collaboration with Paris Design Week, the institution welcomes Contrepoint, an installation by Anthony Guerrée set among the permanent collections from September 8 to 27, 2026. The French designer draws from Antoine Bourdelle’s sculptures—lines, curves, and tensions—that he freely transposes into wood, glass, textile, and clay. Stained glass in the plaster hall, explorations of earth mixed with studio practice, and a jacquard-covered daybed inspired by Bourdelle’s work all fuse contemporary creation with heritage, with several artisans and publishers involved in the project.
Trained at Ecole Boulle, after stints at Studio Andrée Putman and with Christophe Delcourt, Anthony Guerrée founded his own studio in 2020. His work, informed by the history of decorative arts and top-tier craftsmanship, is now on display here for free, through the museum’s collections. And since Contrepoint will remain on view until September 27, the installation will also be visible during the European Heritage Days, held on September 19 and 20, 2026: a good chance to combine heritage and contemporary design in one visit.
