In the courtyard of the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Harry Nuriev turns ordinary objects into a sprawling contemporary still life for Paris Design Week, running September 10–20, 2026.

For ten days, Paris Design Week brings design to every corner where it can surprise. From September 10 to 19, 2026, nearly 500 participants will occupy 320 venues, spanning galleries, museums, studios, and heritage sites. Furniture drops out of the showroom, materials scale up or down, crafts rub shoulders with architecture, and installations breathe new life into spaces that are already well established. A parcours the largely free path, under the theme Pulse in Motion, giving Parisian design a real shot of momentum.

At the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Harry Nuriev makes the ordinary his raw material. From September 10 to 20, 2026, the designer takes over the courtyard of the Hôtel de Guénégaud, a 17th‑century private town house, with a new installation where dozens of everyday objects are laid out on the ground in a regular grid. An open-air still life that upends the traditional order of the courtyard and echoes the museum’s cabinet of curiosities identity. Yet the aim isn’t mere accumulation: these objects, repurposed from their original use, find a new context and meaning here, in the spirit of Nuriev’s Transformisme, an approach that prefers transforming the existing rather than producing more. Founder of Crosby Studios in 2014 and named Designer of the Year by Maison&Objet, the artist splits his life between Paris and New York, moving between design, art, architecture and immersive installations.

The ordinary becomes material for design here.
