Vertical'Art, the new climbing gym and more precisely bouldering gym of Montigny le Bretonneux, doubles its surface! As a reminder, Vertical'Art is the biggest bouldering gym in Yvelines. After a first year full of success, the gym is expanding with more than 30 additional profiles. 1 000 m2 of climbing surface for 2 000m2 of space, there is enough to enjoy.

Boulderinggyms have been booming in recent years. Following on from Block'Out 1 in Cergy, Block'Out 2 in Saint-Ouen and Blocbuster and Hardbloc, Vertical'Art is the first private bouldering gym in Yvelines.

Indeed, before this bouldering gym, in the Yvelines region of France, you had the choice between climbing outdoors (for those who had the equipment) or joining a club to climb in gyms. Now there's no need to travel dozens of kilometers to find a bouldering gym, as Vertical'Art appeals to climbers in search of something new.

Lawrence Chapelier, who initiated the project 4 years ago, in association with Emmanuel Jan and Kenny Cagigas, unveiled to us at the end of 2013, a 1200 m2 space dedicated to the practice of climbing but not only. Open 7 days a week, in the mornings, free of charge for local schools and from 11am to 11pm for everyone. The structure features boulders up to 4.50 m high. There's something for everyone, from novices to the most experienced climbers.

The gym had promised to open 10 new profiles for the new year, but in the end, 30 new profiles are now open to us. Profiles straight from their climbing imaginations, conceived and designed with the help of the whole team... Alban Levier, Vincent Prot and Bruno Delon all worked alongside them to imagine and design new boulders. Dalles, devers, surplombs, réta'... complete the range.

From 1,200 m2, the hall has grown to 2,000 m2, including 1,000 m2 of climbing area!

As a reminder, in addition to the climbing areas, the hall also offers :

  • An expanded and innovative cardio-training area
  • Sauna included with admission
  • A bar-restaurant with fresh produce prepared on site and beers to quench your thirst. The bar-restaurant offers a genuine gourmet menu with a hot dish to discover every day.
  • Osteopathic treatments and cryotherapy chambers to ease recovery and soften tense muscles.
  • A terrace
  • A private area

If you're not already familiar with bouldering gyms, they're indoor climbing gyms, like the Fontainebleau boulders, that don't require ropes or harnesses. You climb low structures and land on thick mattresses in the event of a fall.

The advantage? You don't need a partner to belay you! You can come and climb at lunchtime, or spend the evening. Situated in a business park and surrounded by offices, the gym attracts both sports enthusiasts and those looking for a quiet, friendly place to eat or have a drink. Large relaxation areas await you.

Don't know how to climb, or want to improve your skills? Don't worry, the team offers courses for young and old alike. Several formulas are available: group, individual, novice or advanced...

In short, a venue that's sure to please climbers even more!

Finals full of catching partners await you in the evening, with 3500€ in prize money, Lambo rides on the Beltoise circuit, slippers... to share on the podium! The best French climbers will be on hand to guarantee a great show! In short, let's hear it...
