In recent years, bouldering gyms have become increasingly popular. You know, those gyms where you don't need a harness, ropes, carabiners or even a partner to climb. After opening 2 gyms in Ile de France (in Cergy and Saint-Ouen), Block'Out is continuing its momentum and opening a 3rd gym in Lisses, near Evry. Good news for Essonne residents and climbers in the south of Paris looking for something new.
Like all newcomers, this new venue benefits from the experience of its predecessors. The new B'O3 is a jewel in the crown. Always keen to innovate, Block'Out has done its utmost to offer you an even more convivial and original space.
On arrival, you'll discover a beautiful, large wooden terrace that will delight climbers for a relaxing break. We love the calm, leafy setting, which makes the terrace a great base for clubbing in the surrounding area. Well, it was raining when we visited...
As you enter, you'll find a large store opposite and to the right. The only one of its kind, this 150m2 store offers the very best indoor and outdoor climbing has to offer. Quality clothing from brands such as Patagonia (whose ethics we applaud), ABK and La Sportiva await you. Original and adapted clothing that will take you away from the timeless classics.
If you're heading this way to climb in Fontainebleau, why not drop in to find what you're missing: crash pads, climbing shoes (La Sportiva, EB, Five Ten, Scarpa, Boldrini...), chalk, ropes, quickdraws, descenders, harnesses... are now on the road.
On the left, you'll find a large, friendly bar with an original design. Here you'll find everything you need to refresh yourself with fresh fruit juices, beers (including the famous Block'Out Beer from the Vexin, a must-try) and teas from all over the world. On the food side, you'll find a wide range of salads, sandwiches, paninis and homemade burgers, accompanied by fries. You can also enjoy the chef's daily specials.
With the bar, 2 interior spaces open up for you to relax. On the ground floor, to the right of the bar, you'll find a cool corner with a recycled spirit. Upstairs, enjoy a breathtaking view of the hall and the climbers.
In terms of climbing space, 750 m2 await you in an environmentally-friendly, air-conditioned hall. On offer are 35 different profiles, including 15 with Fontainebleau-style restorations. 250 boulders with 7 difficulty levels, regularly modified (every month), this is what awaits you.
A must-try is the boulder held in place by a wire that moves as you climb: disconcerting. 
Brave climbers can try their hand at the grotto, which has nothing to envy the group's other gyms.
Whether you're a novice or an experienced climber, there's something to suit all tastes. Beginners and experts alike can sign up for courses to learn the ropes or perfect their skills.

Of course, Block'Out 3 also boasts a weight room with a full range of appropriate equipment and a large sauna for 10 people to relax muscles after exercise.
