Ten years of marriage for all, a milestone worth celebrating—and the City of Paris did just that in 2023 by staging a grand Bal de l’Amour on the parvis of the Hôtel de Ville. Building on the success, the Bal de l’Amour returns to the capital with a new, fourth edition that promises to be as joyful and festive as the three before it.
Organized on the eve of the World Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, the Bal de l'Amour is making its return this year to Place de la Bastille, on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 6:00 p.m.
Festive, musical, free and open to everyone, the Bal de l’Amour 2026 is the occasion for Parisians to "celebrate love, equality as well as the LGBTQIA+ artistic and musical culture." The City Hall of Paris will present on this occasion the 2026 International LGBTQIA+ Prize, "a major distinction recognizing each year notable commitments to LGBTQIA+ rights worldwide."
At the foot of the Colonne de Juillet, the Place de la Bastille is set to become a giant dance floor to celebrate love, pride and LGBTQIA+ cultures, with this year’s involvement from the Théâtre du Châtelet. A free event aimed at "all Parisians and all Parisiennes, LGBTQIA+ communities and their allies, couples, families, young people, seniors, wishing to celebrate love for everyone."
