Calling all explorers of the invisible! The Les Gémeaux cultural center in Sceaux (92) is about to unveil a sensory UFO by Éric Arnal-Burtschy. The title? Je suis une montagne (I am a mountain), an immersion experience for children aged 14 and over, from November 28 to 30, 2025, spread over ten sessions(book here).
This touring experiment will then hit the road, and will be presented on January 9, 10 and 11, 2026 at 104 Paris (as part of NEMO - Biennale internationale des arts numériques de la Région Île-de-France)(bookings here), then on March 20, 21 and 22, 2026 at Espace Michel Simon, in Noisy-le-Grand (93) (bookings here).
Lying back comfortably on a suspended deckchair, eyes closed, you embark on a journey between heaven and earth. Here, there's no set, no screen: everything happens inside you. The wind blows, the desert heat caresses your skin, the twilight envelops you... and suddenly, you don't know whether you're a body, a wave or a mountain.
This third part of Éric Arnal-Burtschy's triptych explores our links with Nature and the Universe, at the intersection of art, science and technology. Every vibration, every breath of air, every ray of light becomes a particle of emotion. The artist overturns our spatio-temporal scale, turning the present moment into a field for cosmic experimentation.
A rain cape and towel are provided, so you can enjoy this immersion experience without getting wet (or nearly so). The performance takes place entirely with eyes closed, and includes stroboscopic effects and vibrations, not recommended for epileptics or pregnant women.
Je suis une montagne is an inner ascent, a sensory journey, a poetic shockwave. You emerge a little lighter, a little wider, as if you'd been on the verge of the horizon.
