At spring, it's not just the flowers that are budding in Paris: new experiences are blossoming as the warm weather returns. And just in time, an unusual exhibition takes over the Grande Halle de la Villette, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, and is sure to attract fans of contemporary art and immersive experiences alike. From April 9 to August 31, 2025, Into The Light takes us on a journey of light. Yes, this exhibition takes us to the heart of works of light, in the truest sense of the word.
For an even more magical experience, La Villette is offering night-time visits every Thursday until 10pm. Book your ticket on the official exhibition website.

Between sculptures, projections and interactive installations, the artists, collectives and studios brought together in this exhibition unveil creations, some of them monumental, to offer visitors a sensory experience. The cast of "Into The Light" includes works by Guillaume Marin, Visuel System, WHITEvoid and Collectif Scale in a five-act itinerary, using light and sound effects to create this promising experience wherecontemporary art meets digital art.
Mind you, although the exhibition covers 3,000 m², it brings together some fifteen works, which may seem relatively few. The creations are sometimes monumental and often contemplative. To get the most out of the experience, you need to take your time wandering through the installations. Some of them have poufs on which you can lie down and immerse yourself in the sometimes quite hypnotic scenography.
The overall experience is quite soaring, and should particularly appeal to fans of digital and abstract art. Children are also welcome, but the budget can be quite substantial for families (expect to pay around 15 euros for a child aged 4 to 11, and almost 20 euros for an adult ticket during the week). So, if you're a fan ofimmersive exhibitions, here's a date to mark in your diaries.
This test was conducted as part of a professional invitation. If your experience differs from ours, please let us know.
