Lueurs d'art: an unusual and enigmatic candlelit tour of the Jacquemart-André Museum

For an unusual museum visit with a cozy, subdued atmosphere, experience a one-of-a-kind evening at the Jacquemart-André Museum, illuminated by candlelight. At dusk, the museum’s permanent collections and breathtaking artworks come alive under a gentle, warm glow in this beautiful historic mansion in the 8th arrondissement. This more intimate tour, limited to just 25 guests per group, is led by a knowledgeable guide to unveil the museum’s hidden stories and secrets.

Four sessions are scheduled for this candlelight tour for now, on February 27 and March 5, 13, and 20, 2026. Each evening will feature three time slots: 6:30 PM, 7:45 PM, and 9 PM. Visitors will have the chance to marvel at the richness of these extraordinary collections, beautifully enhanced by flickering flames that cast a new, almost mystical light on the artworks—playing with shadows and highlights. It’s a perfect opportunity to rediscover Parisian heritage through immersive cultural and artistic experiences in a nearly empty museum!

Lectures, opera evenings, piano concerts and theatrical tours are also offered during the season by the museum.
