For its first participation, the Musée de l'Élysée, located just opposite the Presidential Palace, is inviting two Normandy companies with the "Living Heritage Company" label: Saint James and Filt 1860. These two emblematic companies, which promote Made in France, will be demonstrating their textile expertise in a hand-crafted program on April 4 and 5.

JEMA 2025 program at Maison Élysée :

  • Friday, April 4 (10:30 am - 6:30 pm): Filt 1860
You've heard of the famous shopping nets? But do you know how they're made? Since 1860, Filt has been perpetuating the art of weaving with millimetric precision. At Maison Élysée, its craftsmen will show you every stage in the making of these 100% Made in France nets, stars of the markets and darlings of vintage fans!

  • Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 (10am - 7pm): Saint James
Les Tricots Saint James, an iconic brand in marine apparel, will unveil two exceptional skills:
    • Mending: a rare technique handed down from generation to generation, involves hand repairing and finishing knitwear.
    • Remaillage: a stitch-by-stitch assembly technique for mounting collars on sweater bodies. This know-how guarantees the suppleness and strength of the collars.

Filt 1860 and Saint James are also partners of the official Maison Élysée boutique, where they offer exclusive products, 100% made in France.

A unique event to keep you on track with Made in France!
