An unmissable annual spring event: from April 7 to 12, 2026, the European Days of Craftsmanship return for their 20th edition. This year in France, over 1,000 events will be held under the theme "Hearts at Work."
For one week, workshops, factories, museums, training centers and other unsuspected businesses are in the spotlight all over France. These establishments open their doors to us to discover the exceptional skills and talents of French artisans. This tangible and intangible heritage is France's strength, providing a livelihood for 60,000 craft and living heritage companies, and 160,000 jobs.
For this 20th edition, visitors across Paris and its surrounding Île-de-France will enjoy over 200 events. These range from accessible experiences for enthusiasts and novices alike, to more specialized activities for connoisseurs, suitable for all ages. A note of caution: while many of these events are free, some venues will require an admission fee during the JEMA festivities.
The full schedule for the event has not been announced yet, but details are expected to be unveiled gradually in the coming weeks. Check this guide regularly to stay up-to-date and not miss any of the key moments during the European Days of Crafts in Paris and Île-de-France.
