Two years after Saype’s first solo show at Saype at the Galerie Danysz, the famous Paris gallery reopens its doors to the land artist this summer! See you in the 11th arrondissement of the capital from July 4 to August 1, 2026 to discover for free "Constellations", Saype’s new exhibition.
A cornerstone figure of contemporary land art, Saype is now known worldwide for his monumental, biodegradable frescoes painted directly on grass, snow, or sand. Born Guillaume Legros, Saype has been sharing since 2015 on social media his captivating ephemeral works, scattered across the globe—from Paris, Buenos Aires, Liverpool, Geneva, Turin, Istanbul, New York, Nairobi, Tokyo, Montreal, La Plagne...
For these life-size, black-and-white works painted directly on the ground, Saype uses a so-called "eco-friendly" paint, made from charcoal, chalk, water and milk proteins. His pieces have the distinctive quality of fading away with nature (grass growing back) and the weather (rain, storms...).
The land artist, who hopes to “impact mindsets without impacting nature,” is back this summer at the Danyz Gallery with a new exhibition and a fresh series of works that probe memory and its traces. An invitation to dive into Saype’s singular practice.

For the occasion, the land artist will unveil "constellations," described as "assemblies of canvases painted on site during the creation of his murals and photographic fragments of the work in situ." Visitors will thus discover how Saype turns the deliberate erasure of his creations into a lasting archive. The Danysz Gallery will also offer a glimpse into Saype's studio, with sketches and tools bearing witness to his creative process. On the upper floor, there will in particular be presented a human chain of ten graphite drawings, oil paintings, and works that blend aerial photography with objects used in the making of the murals.
Earlier, on June 25, Saype is due to unveil in Giverny a monumental 8,000-square-metre land art piece, created as part of the centenary celebrations of Claude Monet’s death.
