Have you ever dreamed of traveling back in time, exploring the past, discovering how our ancestors lived? We haven't found a DeLorean for you, but we have unearthed an event that could give you a glimpse of France in the Middle Ages. On May 17, 2025, head to the Château de Vincennes, just outside Paris, for a medieval day full of surprises.
Well, let's be honest, we won't be seeing any knight jousting, dragon hunts or warriors in search of the Holy Grail. But don't be disappointed, it promises to be a very interesting day. The fortress of Vincennes welcomes two companies of artists, for two unusual shows that should appeal to young and old alike.
Les Aigles de l'Urga put on an eye-popping birds of prey show: two costumed falconers showcase their animals with flying prowess in the château courtyard. There's also a historical show retracing the life of Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, performed by the Estocade troupe.
It's advisable to arrive early to be sure of being able to see the performances. Please note that shows are held outdoors, and seating is very limited.
