In Lumigny, in the Seine-et-Marne department, the reserve has just opened its doors for its 2026 season. On the agenda? A delightful, family-friendly immersion amid more than 600 animals!

Formerly known as "Lumigny Zoological Parks," the largest wildlife reserve in Île-de-France became, on January 1, 2024, the Lumigny Safari Reserve. After its traditional winter closure, the site  reopens its doors on February 1, 2026, for the upcoming season. Children, parents, and grandparents: come spend a day at this zoological park spanning over 100 hectares!

The reserve is divided into two distinct zones: the Lumigny Safari Reserve and the option Terre de Singes. In total, there are more than 600 animals to discover on immersive safaris where you enter the enclosures of saïmiris (small monkeys), lemurs, parrots... But also big cats, aboard the Trans'Félins, the train that takes you around the Parc des Félins. In total, four walking circuits let you explore this large reserve on foot, with accessibility for strollers and people with reduced mobility. Lions, Siberian tigers, Sri Lankan leopards, ocelots, wildcats and other lynxes await you in their enclosures so you can observe how these wild animals live within the Lumigny Safari Reserve.

The big 2026 highlight features the opening of an espace "Grand Nord", with the arrival of two polar bears, brown bears, and Arctic wolves... Then, to discover numerous species of macaques, gibbons, geladas, saïmiris and other small primates, head to the Terre de Singes!

On site, a mini-farm offers children the chance to cuddle goats and other domestic animals (cows, chickens...) in an area specially designed for families. It's a privileged zone between you and the animals, accessible to all ages! For budding marmosets, Magoland, a play area set up in the heart of La Terre de Singes, also allows children to have fun and move around like real little monkeys!

In 2024, the zoo will continue to offer its usual activities, with eco-guides specializing in ethology, on hand to assist visitors during the animals' snacks and meals. At the Terre de Singes zoo, macaques and other primates will also have their daily snack. But the big news is also the opening of the Kingdom of Lions, a hotel in the heart of the reserve, overlooking the enclosure of the kings of the savannah.

Private experiences – meaning an extra add-on to your park ticket – also give you the chance to join a VIP safari where you tour the park with an educational guide, who will explain the distinctive traits of each species and the animals' habits. In the Monkey World area, a privilege experience is also offered to get up close with the apes and the birds. For these extraordinary experiences, plan on €189 (VIP safari with the big cats) or €99 (privilege experience with the primates).
