Returning on June 1 and 2, 2024, the Rendez-vous aux Jardins is a not-to-be-missed event for all lovers of nature, culture and discovery. During this annual rendezvous, the most extraordinary, secret or unusual gardens across France open their doors to the public, for a moment suspended in these green settings combining heritage and nature!
In Paris and the Île-de-France region, many gardens are taking part in this year's event: large and small, public and private, French and English... You'll be able to admire breathtaking landscapes, discover rare plant species and marvel at places that only open their doors a few times a year! There's a wide range of activities on offer, including guided tours, interactive workshops, concerts and walks...
In the Yvelines, the Domaine royal de Marly and its museum are a veritable historical treasure trove, nestled in a verdant setting just a few kilometers from Paris. Once a summer residence for King Louis XIV and his court, visitors can now experience the sumptuous atmosphere of the royal era. With perfectly manicured formal gardens, majestic fountains and sculptures of unparalleled craftsmanship, there's something to delight both young and old!
Don't miss the Pavillon de l'Étang or the Pavillon de la Machine, but also take the opportunity to stroll along the paths of the Domaine royal de Marly and soak up the culture in its museum. This guided tour takes you behind the scenes of the heritage park of the Domaine royal de Marly, where nature is alive and well, and flora and fauna are back in the limelight! Duration: 1h30 - ages 8 and up Special price: 10 euros / free for under-18s.
Come and create your own herbarium in the museum garden, using dried flowers from the grounds of the Domaine de Marly. You'll learn all about their names and virtues. Continuous activity from 3pm to 5pm - ages 3 and up Admission: free on presentation of admission ticket
