Just a few kilometers from Paris, take the RER A towards Marne-la-Vallée and discover the Parc Départemental de la Haute-Île in Neuilly-sur-Marne: with its beautiful playground, wide paths for jogging and observatories, it's one of the most beautiful parks in the area!

In Neuilly-sur-Marne, on the city's Haute-Île, lies an immense eponymous park, just a few minutes' walk from the port of Neuilly Plaisance. This little jewel of greenery is the Parc de la Haute-Île, which we love for its wildness, its huge maze-like paths and its vast green spaces.

If you look at a map, it's hard to miss this large apple-green patch that occupies almost the entire Haute-Île: if the town of Neuilly-sur-Marne is already spoiled by its pretty banks of the Marne where you can go cycling, a stroll... The Parc de la Haute-Île is perfect for a relaxing day out without feeling like you're only a few kilometers from Paris. With its 65 hectares of greenery, the park is a little paradise for the local flora and fauna, which you can admire fromobservatories set up throughout the park. With the kids, there's no doubt that the knight-themedplayground, with its nets and large fortress towers, will charm the whole family. Then, if you come on a Sunday afternoon or for a booked workshop, you can discover the park'sArchéosite, an open-air space that recreates the life of prehistoric man!

Whether you're on foot or by bike, there 's no difference in altitude and some of the paths are well-maintained and perfectly passable, even in the rain. If you'd like to explore the park along less conventional paths, follow the arrows that point to the paths through the wasteland: this time, we'd advise you to take good shoes (preferably hiking shoes), as you'll be entering the heart of the Haute-Île park, along dirt tracks (which are muddy in wet weather). Nevertheless, these paths are well worth the detour - you'll feel like you're in the countryside, and that's just great! After the walk, you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the picnic area.
