Well known to fans of urban art, Seth continues to produce works across Paris. Recently, the street artist unveiled a monumental mural in the 13th arrondissement. The artist—born Julien Malland—also celebrated PSG’s latest victory by reworking his iconic piece in the Butte-aux-Cailles district. This summer, Seth will also present several of his creations at the Petit Palais as part of the second edition of the exhibition "We Are (still) Here". And his news doesn’t stop there. The artist is gearing up to elevate the façade of the Palais Bourbon!
From June 16 to September 28, 2026, Seth will present "Marianne dreams", billed as a "monumental" yet "temporary" work. To be admired on the colonnade of the National Assembly, this installation will be visible from Place de la Concorde and the banks of the Seine, and "will present itself to the gaze of the general public as well as visitors to the Palais Bourbon".
Responding to the National Assembly's invitation, which aims to deepen its openness to French artistic creation, Seth has conceived a Marianne that is firmly contemporary. Bathed in a starry sky and rising from a wave shaped like a tricolor cockade, this "Marianne Dreams" by Seth is aimed at the National Assembly and the future.
“For the National Assembly’s colonnade, I’ve tailored the structure while playing with contrast. Using the columns as a scaffold, I leave viewers free to fill the gaps between fragments of the work. Our institutions are fragile—nothing is carved in stone—and it’s up to each of us to stay vigilant and to keep building and imagining our Republic. Despite its youth, Marianne is determined in her progress. She invites us to follow her, not to be afraid. In the distance, dawn or dusk awaits: everyone will interpret it in their own way,” explains Seth in a press release.
For readers, Seth is globally renowned for his sublime paintings of faceless children, captured across the globe. Poetic, purposeful, and deeply humanist, his works are now on view in Paris, Grenoble, Le Mans, as well as in Donbas, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Haiti.
While Seth’s murals covering building facades and walls draw every eye, many of his works are also showcased in galleries or in more unusual spaces. In recent years, Seth has notably shown his work at Fluctuart and at the Itinerrance Gallery. He has also erected a sculpture on the Place du Louvre and unveiled a series of giant photographs at the Carrousel du Louvre. Earlier still, Seth was celebrated at the Musée en Herbe.
From June 16 to September 28, 2026, Seth is taking on a new challenge by adorning the imposing colonnade of the National Assembly with his piece "Marianne Dream". Once again, urban-art enthusiasts and curious onlookers are sure to flock to witness this new monumental work by the French street artist in Paris.
