On Sundays, it's brunch or nothing. And at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, we're thinking big. Just a stone's throw from Place Vendôme, the luxury hotel on Rue Saint-Honoré is reinventing brunch with a six-course bistronomic formula, served every Sunday from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at Camélia, its restaurant.
Behind the stoves, Consultant Chef Maxime Gilbert revisits the classic brunch with a 100% seasonal menu. Opening with poultry and foie gras pâté en croûte, followed by yellowtail in mango ceviche with spring herbs and osciètre caviar. Next come burrata ravioli, escorted by morel mushrooms, green asparagus and a yellow wine sauce. For the main course, choose between lamb confit, gratin dauphinois and bottarga, or salmon pithiviers with cream of lettuce.
A sweet finale with a dessert buffet by Consultant Pastry Chef Julien Dugourd. A sweet farandole to be savored without moderation.
And when the sun deigns to show its face, brunch is served on the terrace, under the trees of the landscaped garden in the heart of the 1st arrondissement, in a peaceful, ultra-chic atmosphere.
A calibrated, palace-style brunch, where everything is down to detail, from the setting to the plate.
