Cédric et la Chocolaterie, Cédric Grolet opens his chocolate shop on Avenue de l'Opéra in Paris

Pastry chef Cédric Grolet is embarking on a new adventure with theimminent opening of his own chocolaterie, just a stone's throw from his patisserie onAvenue de l'Opéra. Called Cédric et la Chocolaterie - in homage to Charlie et la Chocolaterie, as you may have guessed - this new address is likely to set the sweet world alight.

In true Willy Wonka style, Cédric Grolet invites sweet tooths to discover his new chocolate universe on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11am. A few photos, posted on the Instagram page Cédric et la Chocolaterie, reveal a chic, sober space with two magnificent trees that look like they're made of chocolate, and whose twisting branches house pods suspended in the air.

And the pastry chef (now chocolatier) adds: "After more than three years working on a fourth concept, we'll soon be adding a new address to our boutiques!", before unveiling one of his first creations, a particularly attractive Fruits 3 Chocolats box.
