Fancy a little detour to Switzerland in the heart of Paris? Discover the mountain chalet version of the Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel, which until March 1, 2024 is offering an exceptional fondue and a 100% Swiss menu that will have you salivating with envy!

The Marriott Opera didn't do things by halves this winter, transforming the hotel lobby and restaurant into a veritable Swiss chalet! Head for the mountains, with their gondolas and chairlifts, for a 100% fondue menu, just a stone's throw from the Opéra Garnier, without leaving the capital. Until March 4, 2024, Switzerland invites itself to the Brasserie Sixtine and the Marriott bar, with a pretty, typical and well-crafted decoration, which plunges us into the warmth of the festive season.

In a warm, comfortable atmosphere, you can enjoy an all-Swiss menu, created in partnership with Switzerland Tourism for the winter season. At the bar of this 4-star luxury hotel, guests are immersed in the heart of the Franco-Swiss ski resorts, sipping a cocktail and getting the evening off to a good start in this cosy little corner out of sight. We recommend the Chéri Chéri, made with champagne, raspberry and blackberry liqueur, so fruity it makes you forget the alcohol inside.

For dinner, you have two choices: the unique, yet intimate gondola beside the big fir tree, or the carefully decorated restaurant, where you can take a chairlift down the slopes. On the menu, you'll find all the typical mountain delicacies, designed to fill the stomach and face the harsh snowy winters! For starters, a selection of delicious charcuterie and cheeses or a winter salad awaits you, before getting down to business: fondue!

Let's face it, if you've ever had the chance to taste fondue on the other side of the border, the restaurants in the capital are hard to beat! It's hard to find that special aroma, despite all the restaurants we've tried to find it since. But Eureka, here, Swiss cheese is the same, and provides incredible sensations for our taste buds, delighted to enjoy this so typical dish with inimitable flavors, the classic half-and-half based on Gruyère and Vacherin.

For the more curious, a delicious champagne and truffle fondue is also available, should you wish to take full advantage of this privileged moment and enjoy exceptional dishes. Expect to pay between 28 and 32 euros for an individual caquelon, heated by candlelight, which is a real treat for the stomach, accompanied by potatoes and bread, of course. This hearty meal is accompanied by an appropriate bottle of white wine from Swiss producers, recommended by attentive waiters.

And for those with a sweet tooth, there's no question of missing out on the 100% fondue experience with dessert! On the menu, dark chocolate and a host of sweets not to be missed, including freshly-juiced clementines that provide a pleasant contrast to the still-warm mixture. For a quintessential Swiss experience, try the vermicelli, a speciality made from chestnut cream, whipped cream and cherries, in the shape of a nest.
