Sleep among the animals at La Ferme des 4 étoiles, the country campsite of Greater Paris

In Auffargis, in the Chevreuse valley, the Ferme des 4 Etoiles promises a getaway as relaxing as a week in the countryside. Whether you come for a day, a weekend or longer, you can even spend the night in a tent or in your camper van!

The farm is the brainchild of Jean-Baptiste Gallo, an agricultural employee who saw in La Petite Hogue (where the farm is located) the perfect terrain for raising pigs, geese, donkeys, sheep and even horses for over twenty years. On weekends, this is the place toshop directly at the farm, stock up on their home-made mozzarella or charcuterie, or enjoy the generous pizzas prepared before your eyes in the wood-fired oven on Fridays/Saturdays/Sunday lunchtimes at the farm.

For the more adventurous, you can even sleep at the Ferme des 4 Étoiles, pitching your tent in the middle of the sheep's grazing area (the farmers lock them up at night, so there's no risk of being surprised by one in the early hours!) or parking your camper van or van in the designated parking lot, overlooking the field and forest. While you're here, take the opportunity to discover the charming Etang de la Tour, a twenty-minute walk away (Jean-Baptiste explains how to get there without having to walk along the main roads), perfect for a stroll or even a family picnic.

From now on, you can even rent tents and mattresses to come to Ferme des 4 Étoiles: even if you don't have the equipment, all you have to do is bring your comforters! On site, a huge shower, toilets, a sink for washing up and a fridge stocked with cold drinks are also self-service, not to mention the farm's lovely sunny terrace, where it's particularly pleasant to enjoy a morning coffee.

On site, thelocal grocery store is open Thursday afternoons, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays all day long, offering dry products (flours, pulses, oils, etc.), delicacies (jams, herbal teas, etc.), as well as the farm's own charcuterie and their famous 4-Star mozzarella, made on site. If you fancy a nice walk to reach the Ferme des 4 Étoiles on foot, we recommend you take the Rando Navigo itinerary, which offers a lovely 17.5 km stroll from the Le Perray Transilien station to the Rambouillet station (line N): the Ferme des 4 Étoiles is about halfway there. For lunch on the farm, a day outdoors less than an hour from Paris or a weekend camping trip on the farm, head for Ferme des 4 Étoiles, Auffargis!
