Fric Frac, like the sound of toasted bread crunching under the tooth, or like the name of this little gourmet place in the 10th district. Here, 7 recipes of croque-monsieur filled with new flavors, to be tasted on the spot or to take away along the Saint-Martin canal.

Excellent products, great side dishes and desserts, with a drinks menu that is just as sharp: Fric Frac has definitely understood everything. Its credo is to offer the modern consumer a revisited version of the great classic of bistros and brasseries: the croque-monsieur.

In addition to its ideal location, this little spot on the Canal Saint-Martin seduces with its conviviality, creative recipes and unexpected flavors. Fric Frac's croques break the codes and are available under several names: Mam'zelle, Titi, Winnie, Viking, Aztec, Shaolin or Mise au vert, served cold.

We let ourselves be tempted by the Mam'zelle, the star of the house, and the Shaolin (5 grain bread, compote of prawns, shiitake mushrooms, lemongrass paste, sweet soy sauce, spring onions, minced ginger, garlic, Thai basil) - a delight! But after a few bites of each, our preference for the simplicity of the Mam'zelle (with "Prince de Paris" ham, Mornay béchamel, Emmental grand cru and soft-boiled egg) is no longer in doubt.

To accompany our more than gourmet croques, a small salad, homemade potato chips, cucumbers seasoned with Greek yogurt, garlic, dill and spring onions - a killer - and good Parisian beers (a blonde BapBap and a Titi Parisien).

If you want to share the dessert with your table, it's impossible to leave Fric Frac without tasting the French toast - also revisited with cane sugar, maple syrup, caramelized apples or even Nutella!

In short, the ideal place to have lunch on the go, to have a cool dinner, to have a good snack, and soon even to have a crazy brunch! A business to follow very closely...
