Once upon a time, there were pastries and the “Pouchkinettes” from Café Pouchkine in Paris. From June 20, 2017, Café Pouchkine, set in the Montorgueil neighborhood, innovates by offering a savory menu to taste from lunchtime to after work with dishes as delicious as gourmet!

It is THIS summer novelty at Café Pouchkine. Since June 20, 2017, regulars and tourists can discover a wider menu thanks to the savory dishes served at lunchtime or after work.

Of course, the Russian touch is given pride of place at lunch, for example, for the poultry salad in the Muscovite way made of supreme of chicken with juniper berry, buckwheat condiment, marbled soft-boiled egg and rougette salad.

Café Pouchkine also offers two salads: the zucchini and cilantro salad with buckwheat and the orange and carrot salad with pearled barley, without forgetting two club sandwiches including the Russian salmon club: smoked salmon, fennel, dill, horseradish cream, cucumber and iceberg salad wedged between two slices of toasted buckwheat blinis.

The second club? The “Olivier” club with pastrami, cheese cream, egg, carrot, peas, iceberg salad, pickles, honey mustard, toasted buckwheat bread. Soft and crunchy at the same time, it is a real treat!

For the after work, the atmosphere changes and you have other choices including the matching Russian foams patties, homemade taramasalata with two Russian blinis, or the “Panko” poultry wings.

As for the drinks, Café Pouchkine offers wine, champagne, as well as beer such as the Russian lager or the N°3 Baltika.

With carefully selected ingredients and very affordable prices (salads from €9 to €10, Club from €12 to €15 and snacks from €6 to €14), Café Pouchkine savory menu is likely to seduce taste buds of many gourmet people who felt like savory dishes were lacking, before giving themselves to the famous homemade pastries such as the Médovic or the chocolate tart or the latest one: the verbena and cherry tart.
