A culinary specialty originating in eastern France, and more specifically, as you may have guessed, Lorraine, quiche Lorraine is one of the French people's favorite dishes. Yet the recipe couldn't be simpler (but oh so tasty!): it's a savory tart made with eggs, crème fraîche, bacon, and grated cheese, all baked in a shortcrust pastry.

Often served as a hot or cold starter, quiche Lorraine is enjoyed with a small green salad on the side. Appreciated and popular around the world for its simplicity andcomforting qualities, quiche Lorraine is on the menu at a few Parisian restaurants.
