Spread the word, ceviche is major in Paris. The rise of South-American restaurants enabled to make Parisian foodies this Peruvian specialty based on marinated fish. Revisited over and over again, with more and more surprising recipes, this dish has delighted taste buds and have quite a spot in the panorama of restaurants in Paris.
And among our favorite restaurants making us enjoy this Latin American specialty, there is la Cevicheria. Genuine Ceviche embassy in Paris, it now enjoys three restaurants in Paris 2nd, 10th and 17th arrondissements. All designed to welcome foodies in a young and lush setting, these spots promise a flavorful tasting.
Our favorite address is the one on rue Bachaumont, a narrow and typically charming Parisian alley, in the heart of the Sentier area. Here, you can enjoy the sun of Paris from the quiet terrace or go inside and enjoy the bright room. On the menu, indulging recipes eyeing at you. As for us, we literally melted with pleasure for the seabream ceviche Peruvian style, leche de tigre, red onions, cancha, sweet potato dices and cilantro.
If you love squid, you do not want to miss the Tiraditos served with fried onions, red onions, aji Amarillo, candied lemon, as well as kalamata olive cream that was mind-blowing. If you are into meat, the beef tataki with ginger oil, Nikkei sauce and crispy onions will make you addicted to it. And top it all with some warm mashed sweet potatoes with melted cheddar on top and this is what heaven looks like!
