Chef Amandine Chaignot is about to open her second restaurant in Paris. After the 11th arrondissement, this summer 2021, she is moving to the 18th arrondissement, in the heights of Montmartre.
While Pouliche highlight market and seasonal cuisine, this new restaurant called Le Café de Luce intends to bring French bistro cuisine back to its former glory because we love it a lot and it is highly comforting.
“Luce was my grandmother, she’s the one who made me feel my first cooking emotions, my first apple pie, my first mayonnaise, this is the cooking I like and I want to share with my family, friends, and guests”, Chef Chaignot explains.
Inspired by legendary Parisian cafés and her grandmother Luce’s cuisine, this new restaurant has come to the Place du Théâtre de l’Atelier, where Amandine Chaignot has been living for 10 years. In a 100% Parisian atmosphere, Le Café de Luce will serve – non-stop from morning to evening – major French bistro classics, twisted the Chaignot way.
On the big terrace, enjoy some soft-boiled egg, Luce’s style; frog’s thighs with almond and parsley; Salers beef tartare with herbs, and iced cauliflower soup, herb oil and toasted bread. Last but not least, a beautiful slice of pie to pair with cocktail based on updated liqueurs, fenouillette, Absinthe, Dubonnet, and Picon.
Le Café de Luce also serves a takeout menu including a selection of signature sweet or savory croissants, such as the goat’s milk cheese and hazelnut fig croissant, spinach and fourme cheese croissant, parsley snail croissant, or sweet croissants stuffed with praline dark chocolate, and almond cream and candied pear.
A restaurant to discover very soon!
