Italian flavors without leaving Paris… This is what Pasticcio offers, a restaurant set in Paris 11th arrondissement, in the Parmentier area (you have a venue in the 18th arrondissement as well…) serving the best of Italy including flavorful pizzas, “Al forno” dishes, and exquisite desserts, along with a list of classic but typical cocktails from the country of Dante!
Pasticcio is first and foremost Italian cuisine with speck on pizzas, REAL Spritz with bitter and Bellini when it comes to cocktails… Rather uncommon in Paris, unless you know where to look for. Speaking of the menu, a whole range of pizzas making your mouth water like the classic margharita, marinara, napoletana, capricciosa and calzone. For more “high-end” pizzas, you can rely on the Tartufina della Casa based on mascarpone, fior di latte, scamorza, mushrooms and truffle cream, or the Pasticcio Vero based on mascarpone, fior di latte, speck, mushrooms, truffle cream, burrata and arugula.
If you are more into pasta or something other than pizza, the restaurant also serves a range of “al forno” (baked) dishes including flavorful lasagna (the nonna’s recipe (nonna being “grandmother”), please!), eggplants alla Parmigiana and baked penne with truffle cream. Note a board of daily specials is available as well and includes more pasta dishes.
Or tartare, carpaccio and antipasti just do well for a nice starter or something lighter. The best for the end? Dessert of course with the pizza nocciolata, tiramisu, panna cotta and ice creams with flavors coming straight from Italy: Roman hazelnuts, Sicilian lemon, pistachio and even Sengana strawberries.
A menu the editorial board tried and really enjoyed. As a starter, artichoke/mozzarella fritters for a nice start. The fritters were as smooth as can be and very tasty. Then, we went for the Capricciosa pizza and a Mortadella pizza. Two flavorful pizzas with light dough. Moving on to dessert, a nice scoop of Roman hazelnut ice cream, and homemade tiramisu to finish on a sweet but not too sweet touch. Wonderful cuisine by the Italian book we highly recommend if you love Italy!
You get it, Pasticcio is a piece of heaven for all Italian food lovers… You only have to go, now, friends!
