Bleu Coupole, Le Printemps’s new restaurant and terraces for rent

Bleu Coupole, so is the name of the new restaurant of Printemps Haussmann, opening this March 19, 2022, and set beneath the 6th floor cupola of Printemps Femme. Forget the dark brasserie that used to stand there, please welcome a glassed restaurant featuring views on Paris, and several terraces for rent, so you can enjoy Elvira Masson’s delicious dishes.

Printemps Haussman signs their new image and offers you to look at life through green-tinted spectacles! As the Festival du Printemps launches its first edition this weekend with a great program mixing live shows, performances and food trucks, the department store also opens a brand-new restaurant: Bleu Coupole.

As its name suggests, this restaurant is set under the Printemps cupola. Head to Printemps Femme’s 6th floor in Paris 9th arrondissement to discover this terrace that has it all.

Although the majestic cupola – magnificent Art Déco masterpiece remains the same – the place has entirely changed. The 6th floor looks like a beach. The Brasserie that used to stand there has now gone to give way to swimsuits and other summer clothing and accessories.

To discover Bleu Coupole, you need to turn left as soon as you arrive, by the patio doors to make the most of the light. To stick to the atmosphere, the restaurant looks like a beach restaurant with deckchairs and boules field.

In circles, and along the alcove windows, discover the many tables and several small outdoor terraces that will make us very happy this summer. Note you can rent these terraces. So far, the restaurant opens at the same time as the store, so you can have lunch, a glass or tea only until 8 p.m. (last order at 6:45 p.m.).

Moving on to food, Bleu Coupole has decided to go for a custom-made menu changing every 6 months. To start with, Elvira Masson signs the menu, brilliantly made by chef Clément Blondeau. At Printemps, Elvira provides many delicious and easy dishes.

So, as a starter, one can enjoy the spicy gribiche deviled eggs, delicious green salad (as a nod to Printemps’s new identity), lentil salad or ray, and some exquisite vinegar leeks and marinated eggs.

Moving on to main courses, enjoy halloumi roasted vegetables, trout gravlax, beetroots, and the delicious green shakshuka or the fregola sarda with cockles and sausage.

The cuisine aims at being simple, seasonal and affordable, we love the sour dishes, the lovely pairings and the welcomed freshness. But note some dishes can come in a version for 4 servings, to cut the bill down. This is the case of shakshuka, fired rice and fregola sarda.

In the afternoon, the teatime includes a drink and 3 pastries by chef Kevin Lacote.

Although the place is not a rooftop, note you only have to climb one floor up to make it to the 7e Ciel and discover the new terrace.
