On Saturday March 23 and Sunday March 24, Ferme de la Villette is organizing a somewhat unusual weekend around wool, with 100% free events and, above all, the presence of a flock of ewes on site!

After organizing the great transhumance of a flock of Sologne sheep in March 2023, Ferme de la Villette ( which opened just a few months ago!) is organizing its very first wool weekend, on March 23 and 24, 2024. From sheep's fur to clothing made from wool yarn, discover with your family how wool is used today!

For this weekend dedicated to the farm and the farming world at La ferme de la Villette, a host of free events are planned! From creative bracelet-weaving and vegetable-dyeing workshops, to storytelling at Little Villette and on-site demonstrations, the program promises to be packed with fun for all the family! Last year, Parc ce la Villette welcomed a flock of Solognot sheep, but this year it's a flock ofsome forty Solognot ewes and their young that will be at La Villette for the weekend. On Saturday March 23 and Sunday March 24, 2024, you'll be able to watch demonstrations of shepherding, sheep shearing, fleece untangling, wool weaving and vegetable dyeing. In short, everything is done so that you can understand how to create a garment from the wool sheared directly from Sologne's sheep!

And don't miss the presentation of the farm's animals, offered every day at different times. Rabbits, donkeys, goats, chickens... Join your family at La Ferme de la Villette on Saturday March 23 and Sunday March 24, 2024!
