Fête de la laine 2025, at the ferme de la Villette: free events and shearing demonstrations

After organizing the great transhumance of a flock of Sologne sheep in March 2023, Ferme de la Villette ( which opened just a few months ago!) is organizing its Fête de la Laine, on March 29 and 30, 2025. From sheep fur to clothing made from wool yarn, discover with your family how wool is used today!

This weekend at La ferme de la Villette is all about farms and the farming world, with a whole host of free events planned! Creative workshops , sheep-shearing demonstrations and, above all, the transhumance of Vernopâture's flock of Sologne sheep! As in 2023, when the Parc ce la Villette welcomed a flock of Solognot sheep, this year it's a flock ofsome forty Solognot ewes and their young that will be welcomed to the Villette for the weekend. So, on Saturday March 29 and Sunday March 30, 2025, everything's in place for you to understand how to create a garment from the wool sheared directly from Solognot sheep!

And don't forget to visit the Ferme de la Villette when you're there! Rabbits, donkeys, goats, chickens... You'll find them all waiting for you at the Ferme de la Villette on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30, 2025!

Demonstration

• Transhumance, Saturday and Sunday at 10am (departure from the sheep paddock in front of the Philaharmonie), at 4pm (departure from the ferme de la Villette).
• Sheep shearing, Saturday and Sunday at 12pm and 2.30pm

Activities

• take part in wool processing, washing, braiding, weaving, dyeing, etc.
