The Bastille Day celebrations in France are shaping up to be less grand than expected. Owing to a high fire risk, the town of Antony has announced the cancellation of its fireworks display, originally slated for July 13. On the other hand, the firefighters' ball will go ahead.

Every year, at the height of summer, the French gather to celebrate the Fête nationale. Held on July 13 in some communes and July 14 in others, this popular and festive event is an opportunity to celebrate our attachment to the Republic and the values of liberty, equality and fraternity.

A host of events are planned for the occasion, including a firemen's ball in the barracks, a garden party, a grand concert on the Champ-de-Mars, a military parade down the world's most beautiful avenue, not forgetting the unmissable fireworks display to delight children of all ages.

In Paris, the traditional fireworks display is staged this year on July 13 from the Trocadéro gardens, delivering a breathtaking show with the Eiffel Tower in the foreground. In Antony, the National Day celebrations are held on Monday, July 13, 2026, to allow us to enjoy the public holiday.

The municipality of Hauts-de-Seine invites all residents on Monday, July 13, with a program that features a firefighters’ ball to be held from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. at the Antony fire station.

Bastille Day 2026: Antony unveils its program

  • The fireworks display: canceled
    Starting at 11 p.m., a pyrotechnic show co-organized with the municipality of Verrières-le-Buisson will light up Parc de la Noisette. Food trucks will be on site from 7 p.m., and visitors can picnic on the grounds. Planned around 11 p.m., the fireworks will be launched from Parc de la Noisette, located along the greenway.

  • The traditional ball: kept
    The celebrations will kick off inside the Fire Station complex. A stage has been set up for the occasion, with the pop group Génération performing from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Musicians and singers will keep the party going, with a DJ set starting at 2 a.m.
