The unions are calling for a total and renewable strike throughout the country from March 7, 2023, to protest against the highly unpopular pension reform. A "dead day" is also planned.

For several weeks now, the unions and the French people have been mobilizing in large numbers against the pension reform that the government wants to pass. Several million people were present in the whole country during the last demonstrations, and the unions are not ready to give up the fight, since in addition to a new day of strike on February 16, 2023, they call for a more intense movement as of March 7! All retailers are invited to stop their activity on this day, for a"dead day", according to BFMTV.

But above all, the unions want a total and renewable strike for the month of March, for even more efficiency, while the bill will be examined in joint commission. Moreover, the school vacations end on March 6, all zones included. For the unions, it is necessary to accelerate the movement, since on March 26, the country will be fixed on the fate of this pension reform, very unpopular according to the polls. Each evening, general assemblies will be formed to decide on the continuation of the strike.

In the meantime, the debates are moving slowly in theNational Assembly and a real showdown between the different political parties, the government and the unions is expected in the coming weeks.
